APPROACH
CONSTELLATIONS being rooted in China, ancient Eastern philosophies are a source of inspiration. Daoism emphasizes on the harmony between Man and Nature, drawing on the vision of the world that all is inter-connected and thus that there is no separation.
We take this world view as guiding principles for our work and embed them in our programs, offerings as well as our ways of working:
Integral thinking – Connection to the ecosystem
Sustainability requires systems thinking, a holistic view but also an emotional connection to nature.
By tapping into the knowledge from natural and social sciences, combining with methods from Systems Theory, Deep Ecology, Nonviolent Communication, Flanerie, as well as Organizational Development and Management studies, among others, we are able to connect to the big picture and our responsibility towards our collective future.
Collaboration – Connection to others
In order to actualize the transformations we want to see in our organizations and society, we must break away from silos in order to connect the dots and see the whole system. We do so by bringing together constellations of actors across cultures, disciplines and sectors into processes of co-creation.
We do that by using participatory and creative methods that harness the collective intelligence while creating ownership of all stakeholders, drawing from The Art of Hosting, Theory U and Design Thinking tool boxes, among others inspirations. Bringing people in a room into effective co-creation saves time and resources: facilitation supports the bottom up, fosters engagement, ensures buy-in and generates more robust solutions through the diversity of perspectives involved.
Self cultivation – Connection to self
The complexity of the crucial issues our society is facing calls for an understanding of ourselves, our role and our impact within the systems that we are a part of.
By combining inspirations from ancient Eastern wisdom practices, with Western science, we invite the awareness that allow for individual transformation, the foundation for collective and systemic transformations.
